Supervisor on call is a group of registered nurses that are available to assist your agencies needs by taking away the stress your case managers get from covering the afterhours call. Each nurse has experience in telephone triage, hospital medical/surgical, home health, hospice and supervisory positions.
Supervisor on Call will manage your phone lines at the time in which your office is closed. Standard times may vary per agency, but usually it is around 5pm until 8am each weekday and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Supervisor on Call will also manage the phone lines on holidays and during unexpected office closures.
We offer referral processing, triage management and detailed reporting. You can choose one service or all services for your agency.
Supervisor on call will perform referral processing for those referrals that are received for your agency after your business has closed for the day. The referrals are processed, uploaded into the EMR, files and orders are attached, and they can be scheduled for start of care or resumption of care.
Triage management is performed by registered nurses for patients on service with your agency that call in seeking assistance for telephonic medical care. The patients are triaged according to protocols based on their symptoms they report. Detailed chart notes are left for each patient within the EMR and a summary of the call will be left in the triage management report.
Supervisor on call provides the following reports: Hospital Lists which include detailed information for patient admissions, discharges, and scheduled assessment information; Referral Reports which provide information such as the date of the referral, the hospital, and any action taken with referral; and Triage Management reports which are summaries of the triage calls, including the protocols followed and performed with patients.
Service cost is dependent upon patient census. The majority of agencies pay their case managers or directors a stipend flat rate for weekdays, weekends, and holidays to take afterhours call. The pricing is very similar to this stipend rate. Contact us today to discuss!
Agencies are billed bi-weekly with Supervisor on call invoicing requests. However, if your agency would rather use your payroll system that can be arranged as well.
